The yacht Bleu de Nîmes has dropped anchor in the bay. 193 feet, up to 12 passengers, 21 crew. http://www.bleu-de-nimes.com

Perhaps they're planning to have lunch at Nikki Beach or Sand Bar? Me, I'll be up on the hill at Santa Fe.

I saw them yesterday pull up to the beach in a inflatable and pick up two couples.... then ferry them back to the boat.

Today it is Gallant Lady and Andromeda La Dea, kicked off the main quay for La Transat, joining me for lunch at Wall House.

The race village is in place. There was a food vendor, a sweets vendor, and a live band last night. The race village will only grow in intensity. At current speeds, the winner will cross the line between 5PM and 6PM on Monday, but we'll see what changes tonight's wind shifts bring.

Hey Kevin,

I have seen that yacht a few times in the same area over the years. I was under the impression that it might be a research vessel? kr

Kim,

Bleu de Nîmes markets herself as an exploration-capable vessel, but there is still that big L, "Luxury" attached to every description. She is most certainly designed differently than the typical high-end yacht, but I do wonder what her true capabilities are.
