Bill and I were in Salem last week, visiting Roanoke College and found The Blue Rooster and Red Rooster for lunch. If you are ever in this part of Virginia you must stop and enjoy this small restaurant! The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. Loved that they offer half and full portions options. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked delicious.
Bill had the potato and leek soup and the roasted bbq chicken. I had the mixed greens and the trout. We would absolutely return! No room for dessert.
